Founded in 2012 by Dr. Allan Friedman, SONAM is a thirty-three member chamber chorus and 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization based in Durham, North Carolina.

SONAM is missioned to share remarkable music with remarkable communities, to the benefit of the same. Proceeds from SONAM benefit concerts convey directly to partner charitable organizations, each serving the common good in meaningful measure. SONAM’s operating infrastructure, administration, and activities are sustained through gifts of time, talent, and financial contribution.
